    NOTICE: 2026 Municipal Election Nomination Day is August 21st

    The deadline to register as a candidate in the 2026 Municipal Election is Friday, August 21st, 2026 by 2:00 p.m.

    Clerk's Office staff will be available at the Municipal Office between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Nomination Day to receive the submission of nomination papers.

    Nominations may be made for the following list of elected offices by completing the prescribed form in the Office of the Clerk, 2529 Stirling-Marmora Road, Stirling, ON until 2:00 p.m. on Nomination Day, Friday, August 21st, 2026.

    Please make an appointment with the Clerk to file your nomination.

    Nomination forms can be picked up at the Office of the Clerk or downloaded online.

    The required filing fee for the Head of Council is $200.00 and all other offices are $100.00 (cash, debit, certified cheque, or money order) made payable to the Township of Stirling-Rawdon.

    Individuals who wish to be a candidate in the upcoming election cannot solicit or accept contributions for election purposes or incur campaign expenses until a nomination has been filed. Full details on the procedures to be followed may be obtained from the Clerk.

    The public notice of nominations will be available on the Township’s Elections webpage.

    The 2026 Municipal Election will be held on Monday, October 26th for the following offices:

    One to be elected Ward 1 Rawdon Township:

    Two councillors to be elected Ward 2 Village of Stirling:

    STIRLING-RAWDON, ON – August 11, 2026 – The Township of Stirling-Rawdon would like to provide additional context regarding Council’s ongoing review of the Stirling-Rawdon Business Improvement Area (BIA), following a meeting between representatives of the Township and the BIA Executive.

    Council has not made a decision to dissolve the BIA.

    Dear Resident, Business/Property Owner,


    Jewell Engineering Inc. has been contracted by the Township of Stirling-Rawdon to
    complete the necessary investigations and prepare tender ready drawings and
    specifications for the Reconstruction of Belleville Road and North Street.


    Preliminary works are started on July 13, 2026 with various crews planning and setting
    up geotechnical investigations and surveys of the project sites. There will not be any
    road closures during this preliminary work but geotechnical investigations may require
    intermittent lane closures.


    Notices will be circulated when crews are scheduled to commence these investigations.

  • Restricted Burn Ban

    Due to hot dry conditions there is a Restricted Burn Ban on. Campfires only allowed between the hours of 7:00pm to 7:00am.

  • Covered Bridge Parking lot

    Market in the Village begins Friday June 26th, we are asking everyone to avoid parking in the Covered Bridge parking from 3:00pm to 8:00pm every Friday until Oct 9th, 2026. 

  • Station Park washrooms closed

    Due to on going vandalism the washrooms at station park are closed.

    Are you on the list to vote for the upcoming municipal election? 

    If you are an Ontario resident over the age of 18 you can visit registertovoteon.ca to confirm or update your information in a few easy steps! 

    registertovoteon.ca is easy to use. You can check, update, add or remove your information and/or property from the voters list. You will need to upload ID and/or other required documentation. 

    Updating this information will help to ensure that the Township's municipal Voters’ List is accurate and up-to-date in preparation for the municipal election occurring this October.

    If you want to update your school support designation for the October 2026 municipal and school board elections, you can do so by June 1, 2026, through the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) portal.
