Free Goods Exchange Day is a community initiative where people give away items they no longer need and pick up things they can use — all for free. This event will be held on Saturday October 17th, 2026

The goal is to reduce waste, reuse useful items, and help neighbours in the community.

How does it work?

• Give away items: Residents can put out gently used items they no longer need.

• Take what you need: Anyone can pick up items that are available, free of charge.

• Keep items out of landfills: Reusing household goods helps reduce waste and supports the environment.

• Help the community: It gives useful items a second life and makes them available to people who need them.

Leaf & yard waste pick up will be on Thursday November 26, 2026. Please have it in biodegradable bags and to the curb by 7:00am for pick up. This is for ward 2 residents only.

You can take yard waste any time of the year to the dump as long as it is in biodegradable bags free of charge.

Notice: Voter Information Letters (VIL) Coming Soon for the 2026 Municipal Election

Residents registered to vote in the 2026 Township of Stirling-Rawdon Municipal Election will soon receive a Voter Information Letter (VIL) with instructions and information needed to cast their ballot this October.

Voter Information Letters include everything you need to vote in this October’s municipal election, including:

• · Your ward and school support designation
• · Voting dates
• · A personalized PIN and instructions for online (internet) and telephone voting

Please check your mail! Didn't receive your letter? Travelling and can't pick up your mail? Please contact clerk@stirling-rawdon.com or (613) 395-3380 to update, modify, or get on the Voters’ List and that all of your information is up to date to issue you a new Voter Information Letter.

About the 2026 Township of Stirling-Rawdon Municipal Election

This October, eligible voters will cast their votes for Mayor, their ward Councillors and the School Board Trustee for their school support designation.

Voting in the Township of Stirling-Rawdon Municipal Election will take place commencing on Friday, October 16th at 10:00 a.m. through to Monday, October 26th, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. Eligible electors can vote online (internet) or by telephone anytime during the voting period.

Remember: It is an offence to vote more than once within the municipality or to cast someone else’s ballot.

The Township of Stirling-Rawdon invites residents and interested members of the public to attend a Public Information Centre (PIC) regarding the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Belleville Road, East Front Street, and North Street.

Project Overview

The Township of Stirling-Rawdon has retained Jewell Engineering Inc. to complete the necessary investigations and prepare tender-ready drawings and specifications for the reconstruction of Belleville Road and North Street.

Preliminary work began on July 13, 2026, with various crews undertaking planning activities, geotechnical investigations, and surveys of the project areas.

The Public Information Centre will provide an opportunity for residents to learn more about the proposed project, review available information, and ask questions.

Residents and interested members of the public are encouraged to attend and learn more about this important infrastructure project.
