    Municipal Act, 2001 & Municipal Elections Act, 1996 

     

     Notice is hereby given that the Township of Stirling-Rawdon is currently seeking qualified electors as candidates to fill the current vacancy of Ward 1 Councillor for the remaining term of Council. 

     Each candidate is required to complete and submit the following documents, in person, to the Clerk’s Office at the Township of Stirling-Rawdon, 2529 Stirling-Marmora Road, Stirling, during regular business hours. 

    • A current resume which summarizes qualifications and relevant experience 

    • Proof of name and qualifying address 

    The Application Form and Declaration of Qualifications Form are available on the Municipal website at www.stirling-rawdon.com or at the Municipal Office. 

    Deadline for Applications:  Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

  • Level 1 Low Water Level Condition

    Please be advised that Lower Trent Conservation is downgrading to a Level I Low Water Condition.

    The month of November saw continued high levels of precipitation across the Lower Trent Conservation (LTC) watershed region compared to the June- September period. As a result, LTC has reduced the Level II Low Water condition to a Level I Low Water Condition, as minor drought conditions are still being experienced throughout the watershed region

  • Winter Parking Restrictions

    Residents of Stirling-Rawdon are reminded that Winter Parking Restrictions will be in effect from November 15, 2025 until April 1, 2026.

    This means parking is prohibited on all streets, highways and roads in the Township between the hours of 11:00pm and 7:00am.

    The Parking limits are in place so that winter maintenance can be completed.

  • Notice: Burn Ban lifted

    Effective immediately, the Township of Stirling-Rawdon has lifted the burn ban that was previously in place due to dry conditions. Recent improvements in weather and fire risk assessments have made it safe to resume open burning activities.

    Residents are reminded to:

    • Follow all local fire safety regulations

    • Monitor weather conditions before burning

    • Have appropriate fire suppression tools on hand

    • Never leave fires unattended

    We thank the community for their cooperation and commitment to safety during the ban.
