COVID-19 Provincial State of Emergency Declaration

The Province of Ontario has declared a State of Emergency effective 12:01 pm January 14th, 2021. The Province has implemented a stay-at-home order requiring everyone to remain at home with exceptions for permitted purposes or activities only.

Township officials continue to meet with representatives of Hastings Prince Edward Public Health, Quinte Health Care, neighbouring municipalities and other community partners on a weekly basis to receive updates on the COVID-19 pandemic.

The main lobby to the Municipal Office will be open for lobby entrance only as the area has a secured glass barrier, which provides the protection to the staff and public.  Face covering is required to be worn by all public, and Staff will wear a face covering when not alone in their own office. However, we encourage you to use the drop off box and we will respond in a timely manner.  We do ask, if entering the lobby, only one person at a time and that the hand sanitizer provided be used.

The landfill sites will be open, however please be sure to practice social distancing, and wear a mask and gloves while at the site.

If using the outdoor spaces, please ensure you are following proper protocols (ie: wear a mask, use hand sanitizer, social distance and group sizes not to exceed five). 

The Stirling-Rawdon and District Recreation Centre will be closed to the public. The Stirling-Rawdon Public Library will be closed to public, but will continue to offer contactless curbside pickup.

During this time, Council meetings will continue to be lived streamed through the Zoom platform and to Facebook Live. All members of Council and staff must wear a face covering and practice proper PPE.

Township bylaw enforcement will be monitoring to ensure the restrictions are adhered to and can be reached at 613-395-3380.
