Farmers Market Kick-Off

The Farmers Market Kick-off celebrates the opening of the Stirling Farmers Market located at the Municipal parking lot on East Front Street and the Covered Bridge. Family events will continue throughout the day from 8:00 am- 1:00 pm for Free Admission! The kick-off will end with a street dance featuring the classic rock band "Groundspeed" from 8:00 pm- 1:00 am. Stirling is celebrating its 7th annual Festival of the Arts in 2008. This year the Stirling BIA is combining this festival with the celebration of Canada Day, making it bigger and better then ever! The Festival of the Arts is a show and sale with emphaiss on creativity and originality.  We will also be featuring Canada Day kids acitvites throughout the weekend, dances, and an amazing fireworks display. Stirling 150th Agricultural Fair

The Stirling Agricultural Fair is an annual event that residents wait all year for. Spend the weekend at the Stirling Fairgrounds and check out the Agricultural Heritage Museum, animal shows, derbies, rides, and great Canadian performances that are always a huge hit. This year the Stirling Fair will be celebrating its 150th year and will be featuring the cnadian Country group Emerson Drive! It’s a fun filled weekend that you won’t want to miss! Stirling Santa Clause Parade

The Stirling Santa Clause Parade is an annual event that families in the area love to participate in. Bring the kids and come see Santa and his crew in downtown Stirling. Takes place the first Friday of December @ 6:30 pm starting at the arena. Stores are open late for shopping and treats so don’t miss the joyous Santa Parade!

PREPARING FOR 2008 - THE STIRLING SCHOOL REUNION

In 2008, Stirling will be celebrating its 150th Anniversary. To celebrate the Committee is planning 10 days of festivities. One of the events is a Stirling Senior School Reunion. The meet and greet will be for students and staff who

Starting Tuesday, April 1, 2008 a 10 week evening beginner belly dancing class will begin.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The Quinte Therapeutic Riding Association needs volunteers for its spring program. Must be over 14 years of age, have transportation and be able to commit to three hours per week for 12 weeks to help in the lessons by grooming horses and sidewalking with riders, assisting riders with exercises and games. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
A few hours a week to make a world of difference!
Community Care for Central Hastings is a volunteer-based agency for seniors and adults with physical disabilities living in the Central Hastings area. We need volunteers to make reassurance calls, make friendly visits, assist at the Diner's Club, help with fundraising, help at special events, and much more.
